HOW TO KNOW THAT SOMEONE IS USING DRUGS OR NOT?
SIGN AND SYMPTOMS OF DRUG ABUSER.
PHYSICAL SIGNS
1.Inability to sleep, awake at unusual times.
2. cold, sweaty palms, shaking hands.
3. Red, watery eyes.
4. Pupil larger or smaller than normal.
5. Excessive talkativeness.
6. Needle marks on lower arm, leg or bottom of feet.
7. Irregular heartbeat.
8. Runny nose.
9. puffy face.
10. Slowed walk.
11. Frequent rubbing of nose.
12. frequent twisting of jaw back and forth.
13. Poor hygiene.
BEHAVIORAL CHANGES
1. Change in attitude without any cause.
2. Skip school.
3. Drop in grades at school or performance at work.
4. sudden hypersensitivity.
5. Loss of interest in family and family activities.
6. Excessive need of privacy.
7. Changes in personal grooming habits.
8. Changes in friends , friends are known drug users.
9. Stealing money or items.
10. Missing prescription pills.
11. Complaints of a sore jaw (pain in jaw).
12. Suspicious behavior.
INTOXICATION:
Intake of any drug in excessive amount in very small duration is called intoxication.
it is also known as overdose.
SIGNS OF INTOXICATION OF SPECIFIC DRUGS:
1. Marijuana
glassy red eyes, loud talking, inappropriate laughter followed by sleepiness, a sweet burnt scent, loss of interest, motivation, weight gain or loss.
2. Alcohol Clumsiness, difficulty walking, slurred speech, sleepiness , poor judgement, dilated pupils
3. Heroine Needle marks, sleeping at unusual times< Sweating , coughing, sniffing, twitching, contracted pupils, no response of pupils to light.
4. Depressants Seems drunk as if from alcohol but without associated odour of alcohol , difficulty concentrating, clumsiness, poor judgement, sleepiness.
SAY NO TO DRUGS
5. Hallucinations Dilated pupils, bizarre and irrational behavior including paranoia, aggression, hallucinations, mood swings, detachment from people, confusion.
